Yay the VBC is almost here! City-wide place-making and community building is about to commense. Invite your friends to choose TLC Farm as their site for Thursday May 29th-Saturday May 31st. There are going to be several awesome things happening at once on the land:

Friday, May 30th - Hepta-Hut Building and Cob Sauna Love-Up
Saturday, May 31st - Rainwater Sink Building and Cob Sauna Love-Up
There will be a shuttle to the farm on these days at 9am and 5pm. Check this page closer to the event for any changes to this information.
The 12th annual VBC runs from May 25-June 3, and TLC Farm will join in the activities on June 1 & 2 - we invite you to come get your hands dirty as we mix sand, clay and straw to become functional, beautiful earthen plaster.
We will be running a shuttle to TLC Farm from the VBC main venue, St. David's of Wales, 2800 SE Harrison. The shuttle will leave at 9:45 on Friday and Saturday morning, and returning at 4:30 in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided.

Learn to build your own backyard earthen oven!
From foundation to finish, this two day workshop led by Joshua Klyber and Bonsai Matt will give participants a hands-on education in all they need to know to build their own ovens. Using earthen materials - sand, clay and straw - workshop participants will build a cob oven that is fantastic for baking and pizza!
Workshop runs from 10-4 on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3. $75 for both days. Please pre-register by calling 503-245-3847 or email brenna@tryonfarmorg.
About the instructors: The two teachers bring a a great combination of skills in earthen building. Bonsai Matt has led cob oven workshops across the country and is a master pizza-baker in the ovens.
